The aim of this project was to achieve a point of difference in the Melbourne boutique hotel market by providing top-quality finishes in conjunction with their prime location to maximise revenue. The refurbishment of the six guest rooms will go-on to provide a benchmark for future hotel works.

The scope of works included;

• Refurbishment of six hotel rooms, including the conversion of a meeting room into two guest rooms

• Restoration & design integration of heritage-listed interiors

• Overseas procurement of bespoke casegoods & furniture

Operating within a live environment, Royce Hotel needed this project completed with minimal noise and disruption to hotel guest & conference room users. The team scheduled noisy works around peak-operating hours & conference bookings to maintain operator & user experience throughout the duration of the project.

The finished product is a series of unique boutique guestrooms with timeless appeal that has added state-of-the-art lettable rooms to the Royce Hotel brand, and showcases Chroma Group’s bookmark as the hotel specialists in the construction industry.
